Leslie Clagett brings a wide-ranging perspective on the practice of architecture to Hausman. An award-winning design journalist, she has held senior editorial positions at both consumer and industry publications.
The author of The New City Home, Leslie has contributed to Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, Architecture, Arts + Architecture, Consumer Reports, Contract, Elle Décor, Sweets News and Products, Interior Design, The Architect’s Newspaper, The New York Times Magazine, and the San Francisco Chronicle, covering subjects ranging from building science and materials to evidence-based design in healthcare facilities to Shigeru Ban’s first project in North America.
She has worked with various professional organizations and manufacturers—including the American Institute of Architects, the Association for Consumer Trends, The Cooper Union, the International Furnishings and Design Association, Koelnmesse, Kohler, Material ConneXion, and the National Association for Home Builders—producing public programs, promotional campaigns, and continuing education courses. Leslie has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Denison University.
