Alex Klimoski has a decade of communications experience in the architecture and design industries, spanning both marketing and editorial roles. Her journalism background informs her collaboration with clients, as she develops newsworthy stories that highlight their work and thought leadership.
As an editor at Architectural Record, Interior Design, New York Review of Architecture, and The Architect’s Newspaper, Alex has written about the projects, processes, and people of both renowned and up-and-coming firms from around the globe, including Deborah Berke Partners, Junya Ishigami, MASS Design Group, Olson Kundig, Zaha Hadid Architects, and more. In over 100 articles for Architectural Record, she has covered sustainable design, affordable housing, and urbanism, through features, breaking news stories, interviews, and exhibition and book reviews. Alex’s writing has also appeared in Bloomberg CityLab, Metropolis, and The New York Times. As a marketing specialist with Dattner Architects and Holzman Moss Bottino Architecture, she shaped and elevated the professional and public profiles of the firms.
A native New Yorker, Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Design & Environmental Analysis from Cornell University, and a Master of Arts degree in Design Research, Writing, and Criticism from the School of Visual Arts, where she wrote a thesis examining the production and semiotics of architectural renderings.
