Second Avenue Subway Line is now a Reality
New York City urban myth… Second Avenue Subway has now become a reality. The elusive train line was first proposed in 1920. Almost 100 years later, the first phase is complete and open to the public! Engineering and design firms Arup and AECOM were tasked with job to make the 17-stop-line, cleaner, brighter, quieter, and more inviting than the other existing subway lines in New York City. You can learn more about the project from our friend Sam Lubell of Wired, Step Into The Comfiness of NYC’s 2nd Ave. Subway (Yes, Comfiness)
